Well, in spite of feeling like I'm up for auction or like a cow on the chopping block going to the highest bidder, I'm a centered and down-to-Earth woman who knows who she is and does not like drama or games or arguments. I'm what you see is what you get. I'm but look much younger. I suppose that may be correlated to the fact that I act much younger, as well. I am educated. I have lived in different cities and states around North America and have attended four Universities and one community college. I am sort of a home body, sometimes. I have a wonderful Golden Retriever named Journey who is 6 years old and very disciplined and also a Calico Cat named Safiya. They are my furry kids, as I have chosen not to have kids of my own. I have a dry wit, a silly wit, and a sarcastic wit, and sometimes a dark wit. All around, I guess I just like to laugh and I find humor in most situations. Never at anyone's expense, however. I love ALL ANIMALS, but my heart really goes out primarily to dogs. I've always grown up with large breeds and I love large breeds of dogs. I love and need structure in my life, unlike when I was much younger and preferred to fly by the seat of my pants. I have a very diverse and eclectic taste in music. Primarily, I have the majority of my music in Blues, (mainly B.B. King....I've seen him in concert-both indoor and outdoor) at least times. In fact, I'm seeing B.B. King and Buddy Guy on the 22nd of Feb...pretty soon!! My secondary majority of music would be of Black Gospel Music. I love how emotional it is and the lyrics are so real and about life and the real trials and tribulations that people go through. After that, it's kind of like some hip hop, some soft new music by young people and some adult contemporary. Also, my favorite artist is Mary J. Blige.

I love to go hiking with Journey, my Golden Retriever. I love watching comedies; The Family Guy, American Dad, Rock, The Office; Curb Your Enthusiasm, Reno Arrested Development, The Simpsons, and of course, Seinfeld, when it was on, but I have the series on DVD. I love interior design and try everything out with my own apartment. I'm totally in to antiques, so my apt. is full of antiques and I have lots of antique jewelry and furniture and do dads. I, also, am a clothes horse, and would love to be someone's personal shopper or go into that field. I love putting clothes together and also very unique gift packages. My ultimate dream, that I have had since I was very young, is to first, have several acres out in a rural area. My place will be called "Elliot's Haven" and it will be a refuge only for abused dogs and cats. NOT for drop-offs or unwanted dogs or cats, just for abused dogs and cats and they can live at "ELLIOT'S HAVEN" for the rest of their lives or, unless I very carefully scrutinize and check several references, I MIGHT adopt them out to a deserving family that has cleared all of my background checks. Of course, I will attempt to get a veterinarian to offer their medical services in exchange for a tax-write-off and also a feed-store for dog and cat food also as a tax write-off. I don't think that I will have trouble finding volunteers to help run "ELLIOT'S HAVEN". I will need a full staff to help with the animals as volunteers. I'll also need the acreages, too. I, myself, have a formerly abused dog and cat, and, for someone reason, God has blessed me with the talent to know how to work with abused animals and heal them and make them happy again and allow them to trust in people again and to smile again and trust again. I've already drawn up business cards for this dream of mine. It has been said, to make a dream come true, write it all down, again and again and be as proactive as possible to make it come true. I pray to God often to help me make "ELLIOT'S HAVEN" come true. FYI: Elliot is the name of my beloved Yellow Labrador that I had for years until a few years ago. He was my world. He was my family. He was my heart, my soul, my spirit, my love. I miss him daily and think of him even more. I want to honor him by having "ELLIOT'S HAVEN" come to fruition.

I, interestingly enough, do not judge a book by it's cover. I am interested in what makes a man be the way a man is. What makes him tick. Who is he? What are his morals? His values? His character? His sense of humor? What pushes him to be the man he is? Does he drink? (I don't) Does he smoke? (I don't) Does he have kids? (I don't and am looking for a man who does not have children.) Does he interact with his parents and siblings? What does he do for a living? Does he like his job? Where is he from? If not Omaha-what brought him to Omaha? Does he like going to live theater, live concerts, plays, the Orpheum, the new center for performing arts? Does he like going to movies? (I do) Does he enjoy fine dining? (I do) Does he enjoy reading? (I do) Does he like sitcoms on TV? (I do) So, you see, these are not about looks or the outside of a man, although a few extra pounds does not bother me, That is the only exterior thing, I'll mention.
